Machame Route “Whiskey Route” contrary to Marangu is a more difficult and does not have tourists huts for accommodations and cocacola. Is the second most popular route just after Marangu. The right route for experienced climbers who can walk over long periods through steep slopes. Machame has more adventure and varied sceneries but also heavy traffic.

Day 2: Registration at Machame gate and trek to
Breakfast, drive from your hotel in Moshi/Arusha to machame gate (about 45min). After about an of registration and park fees payments, start climbing along a clear trail through plantation and natural forest, thereafter a narrow forest path follows to the Machame cam (9,9000ft) B.L.D
Breakfast, ascending through the forest, steep ridge passing through heather and open moorlands, and crossing a large to shira camp (12,600ft). the distance is about 5-6 hours, B.L.D
After breakfast, we will ascend to Lava tower (15,1850ft) for dinner and overnight, B.L.D
After breakfast, we leave Baranco hut for Barafu hut (14,910ft). We will pass through the last water drop at Karanga valley on the way up. Overnight Barafu camp, BL.D
Wake up at midnight, and after a small snack, start ascending to Uhuru peak through the Stella point (18,640ft), then after reaching the summit, we will head down to Mweka camp (10,010ft) for dinner and overnight, B.L.D
After breakfast, we will head down to mweka gate with lunch packet, and the waiting vehicle will take you to Planet Lodge. B.L
